No apparent effect on how long the Well Fed buffs last. Light Eater (-4): Gain hunger 25% slower. However, it has more value against Sprinters, as getting spotted from far away while looking in a different direction or during combat can be a death sentence against them. So, getting spotted further away from a group is actually useful.

Having zombies spot you by vision is how you split big groups. This reduces the chance of that happening by half. Inconspicuous (-4): Beyond their minimum sight range where they always spot you, zombies also have a chance of detecting you at an increased range. Useful when playing against Pinpoint hearing zombies though. This will however make your sneak walk almost perfect without leveling that skill. Useful for not alerting more zombies to your location when you need to run in combat but it isn’t usually the case where you need to both run (without sneaking) and avoid detection. Graceful (-4): Reduces the sound range of your movements by 60%. You can level Farming fast enough without any bonuses and having a higher level doesn’t offer game changing effects. At the moment, First Aid is almost a completely useless skill to level up. And if that is not enough, Beta Blockers are common enough to use every time you need to. This is a powerful and useful effect however, you will get a passive panic reduction from every 30 days you have survived (up to 150 days) that will for the most part be enough to keep panic under control later in the game. Otherwise avoid.īrave (-4): Panic sources are only 30% effective. If you want your character to focus on the Long Blunt weapons then you should pick this, particularly for characters with no other weapon skill bonuses. You can level fishing fast enough to feed yourself with books and use other sources of food while your level becomes high enough to catch the fish you want. Even on Extremely Rare loot and Winter start settings, avoiding unsafe food or tainted water is easy to do. Iron Gut (-3): Halves the power of poisonous, uncooked and rotten food and drinks. Or going to bed a couple of hours later than usual and using that time to read a skill book, grind Reloading, etc. Also allows you a few tricks, like using actions that will greatly increase your Fatigue, like Foraging or Exercising, and not losing part of the next day sleeping.

Drowsy usually marks the point when you have to return to base and this delays it, so it's giving you move active hours per day. Also reduces fatigue gain so it'll take longer to reach Drowsy. The more Fatigue you have, the more hours you save: a character who just hit Drowsy will take 4.5 hours to wake up, while a character with no trait will sleep for 6 hours. Wakeful (-2): it takes 75% of the normal sleeping time to recover your Fatigue. Problem with this is that it tends to take a great deal of time under the rain to get increasing stages of wetness if you’re wearing multiple layers of clothing. Outdoorsman (-2): greatly reduces the chances of catching a cold due to wetness. You will rarely be in a rush to read any skill book at any point in the run. Makes it much easier to dash and loot buildings.įast Reader (-2): increased reading speed of books (-30%). Especially when you need to constantly take items out of a backpack, like Crafted Spears or Stone Axes. Also allows you to see much better inside dark buildings.ĭexterous (-2): increased speed (-50%) when moving items in or out of containers. Particularly when using Pitch Dark nights in the sandbox settings. Even when planning to use cars as weapons, you’ll still be limited by the damage to your vehicle.Ĭat’s Eyes (-2): Gives you better vision in the dark. Not being able to drive a vehicle remotely loud without alerting whole crowds is too much of a sacrifice for being able to push thru more zombies. This isn’t much of a positive trait, but a tradeoff with mostly negative consequences. You’re also more prone to crashing and overturning. The tradeoff is that the noise generated by your vehicle is greatly increased, making vehicles so loud the sound reaches outside of your screen (depending on the vehicle and the muffler). This has the effect of increased acceleration, being much less likely to get stuck on zombies and also being able to tow using almost any vehicle. Speed Demon (-1): Your character will switch gears at double the RPM and vehicles get +15% top speed.
